For the month of July please join us in praying for our “In From The Cold” Mat Program.
We have an amazing opportunity to provide overnight shelter for 20 of our city’s most vulnerable this winter.
Our goal for next winter is to offer a mat program at the Upper Room Mission, from December 2023 to February 2024, for those who cannot find a warm place to sleep at night. Our goal is to accommodate 20 mats. We still need to figure out many things, from purchasing the mats, finding the right staff and defining how to operate with people sleeping inside, but we believe every person deserves to have a warm and safe place to sleep in from the cold. Let’s get people in from the cold next winter. As a community, we can save lives and limbs when we accomplish this next December.

- Continued funding and resources to be able to make this program a success.
- That the right people would find their way through our doors to connect to more resources and hope for their lives while they are here.
Pray With Us
Father God, we thank you for providing everything we need to be able to run this vital program this winter. We pray you will provide the right staff and guests for this program to run well. We pray for the community of people roughing it on the streets in the City of Vernon and in our greater community. Help them find hope and wholeness in their lives, and show us how to best walk alongside them as they journey there.
The need is great, and You are a great God who provides, loves, and blesses the work you have set before us.
