Emergency Care
Critical resources and emergency care for people experiencing homelessness and poverty who are in urgent and desperate need of help. Even the most basic necessities—things many people take for granted—are valued and meaningful to those who go without. Socks, underwear, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste are not taken for granted.

Health & Wellness Services
- Street Nurse Program:
In partnership with Interior Health, a Street Nurse provides private, on-site healthcare for our guests—making medical support more accessible while easing the burden on local health services. - Mental Health Support:
Social workers from Interior Health’s Mental Health and Substance Use team visit weekly to provide support and timely referrals, helping prevent crises and promote mental well-being. - Addiction Recovery Support (OAT Clinic):
The Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) Clinic visits the Mission weekly to offer guests access to opioid agonist therapy, harm reduction, and recovery-focused care. With limited detox options in Vernon, this program provides a vital pathway toward healing and reduced overdose risk.
Housing Support
The Mission is an active member of Vernon’s Coordinated Access and Assessment (CAA) team, helping individuals navigate their way into supportive and subsidized housing. This ensures fair and prioritized access for those most in need, especially individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
