What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and our final authority in all matters of faith and life, revealing God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Context:
Scripture shapes how we see every person and guides how we live and serve—calling us to act with compassion, justice, humility, and truth in our work with those experiencing poverty, homelessness, and addiction.

A Triune God

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Context:
God Himself exists in relationship, and we reflect His nature by creating spaces of belonging, community, and care where no one is meant to walk alone.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, revealing the love, truth, and power of God.

Context:
Jesus consistently moved toward those on the margins with compassion and dignity. His life models how we engage with each person we serve—with grace, truth, and deep respect.

Humanity

We believe that all people are created in the image of God and have inherent dignity and worth. Because of sin, all humanity is broken and separated from God, yet deeply loved and invited into restoration through Jesus Christ.

Context:
This belief is foundational to our work. Every person who walks through our doors carries God-given value, regardless of their circumstances. At the same time, we recognize the reality of brokenness—spiritual, emotional, and physical—and the need for restoration.

Sin and Spiritual Opposition

We believe that sin has broken humanity’s relationship with God and distorted the world. We also believe that Satan is a fallen spiritual being who opposes God’s purposes and seeks to lead people away from truth, hope, and life in God.

Context:
We recognize that the struggles people face are complex—shaped by personal choices, systems, trauma, and spiritual realities. This calls us to respond not with judgment, but with humility, wisdom, and compassion.

Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ accomplished God’s work of salvation through His death on the cross and His resurrection. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith, offering forgiveness of sins, new life, and a restored relationship with God.

Context:
In a world where many feel defined by failure or shame, we proclaim that transformation is possible—not through earning it, but through grace. This shapes how we extend hope to every person we serve.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and is present with us, bringing conviction, healing, guidance, and transformation. He empowers us to live lives of love, holiness, and service.

Context:
Given our ministry—transformation, recovery, and restoration—the Holy Spirit is central to our frontline work with people experiencing homelessness, addiction, and poverty. Lasting change is not achieved by human effort alone, but through the Spirit’s ongoing work in each life.

The Church

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, made up of all who believe in Him. The Church is called to be a community of belonging, grace, truth, and mission in the world.

Context:
We seek to reflect this reality by creating a place where people are welcomed, known, and invited into community—moving from isolation toward connection and belonging.

Life's Purpose

We believe that all believers are called to follow Jesus, growing in love, obedience, and service, and participating in His mission by making disciples and caring for others.

Context:
This calling shapes our work beyond meeting immediate needs. We walk alongside people as they take steps toward stability, purpose, and a renewed sense of identity and direction.

Jesus's Return

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of God’s promise to restore all things, bringing eternal life to those who belong to Him.

Context:
This hope anchors us in the midst of difficult and long journeys of change. We trust that God is at work now and will ultimately bring full restoration.
