Grateful Beyond Measure This Thanksgiving

As we enter this season of gratitude, all of us at the Upper Room Mission are reflecting on the incredible support we’ve received from our community this year.
Because of you — our donors, partners, volunteers, and friends — lives have been touched, bellies have been filled, and hearts have found hope. Every meal served, every smile shared, and every story of transformation have been possible because you chose to care.
At the Upper Room Mission, our purpose is clear: to care for and improve the lives of people living in poverty, homelessness or addiction in our community by providing a place of belonging and hope rooted in the love of Jesus Christ. Together with you, we are living out that mission every day.
This Thanksgiving, we’re excited to celebrate by serving our annual Community Thanksgiving Meal on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Mission. Our doors will be open to everyone who needs a warm meal and a place to belong.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1
As we gather around the table, we are reminded that Thanksgiving is not just about food — it’s about sharing God’s love with our neighbours and offering hope where it’s needed most.
Are you willing to help us?
There are two meaningful ways you can make a difference this Thanksgiving:
-
Donate: For just $5.00, you can provide a hot plate of turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings for someone in need.
-
Volunteer: Join us on October 10th to serve meals, greet guests, and share the joy of community.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in our mission, and for helping us bring hope to Vernon every single day.
