Holding hands in prayer

August Prayer Requests

Galatians 6:2 – Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

For the month of August please join us in praying for The Upper Room Mission staff.

We have a fantastic staff team that comes in to work at The Mission every week. While very fulfilling, our work at The Mission is often filled with difficult situations and, at times, can be very emotionally draining. Our staff are working, serving, building relationships, and walking alongside our guests on many complex issues such as addiction, substance use, and mental health issues. We have many moving pieces to our daily work at The Mission, from feeding our guests to helping them access essential services such as showers, laundry and other supports. Please join us in praying this month to uplift our current and future staff.

Prayer Points

  1. For the right staff to join us as we facilitate a new program in winter 2023.
  2. For all our staff’s emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health as they serve and love our guests.
  3. To continue building a strong and healthy team, working with our collective strengths and visions for The Mission.

Pray With Us

God, we thank You for providing such an amazing group of individuals to support the work You have given us at The Mission. We pray You provide health in all areas of our staff’s lives. Continue to give our team the hope and passion to love and serve our most vulnerable, even on hard days. Please help us build an even stronger community among our staff so that we can continue to impact the lives of everyone who walks through our doors.

The need is great, and You are a great God who values community, compassion and hope. We pray for these to be set in the hearts of all our staff.

Amen.

I am praying for the Lord of the Harvest to send great and inspired workers to the Upper Room Mission team for this most important work of deliverance. We are confident as we pray because we are yoking up with our Lord who declared that He was “sent to proclaim that captives will be released……” Luke 4:18b
